Volumetric lighting demo
Sunday, January 12, 2003 | Permalink

So I explore into Direct3D a little again. This time it's DX9 and the first demo utilizing it is here.
It's a demo of volumetric lighting through a 2.0 vertex shader.

Enjoy!

I haven't dled the src yet so don't spank me! But do you use asm based shaders or Dx9's HLSL for shaders?

thanks

Assembler. I'll look into HLSL in the future.

Aww I can't run it. A lot of things in this site only work for Radeon 9700 e.t.c.. damned fragment programs :P why doesn't GeForce put them in! (I have a gf4ti4600)

Well, the GF hardware isn't capable of supporting it. The GFFX should run the GL_ARB_fragment_program demos just fine.
