Home from Meltdown

I'm back home again after attending Meltdown for a few days. It's the first event of this kind I've attended, so it was pretty cool. Got to meet some real developers and see a couple of unreleased titles. Not that many people attending though, and during the speech sessions I attended the room wasn't even filled anywhere close to half. Overall pretty cool and a lot of fun though.

Thanks.

OpenGL will still live on. In fact, Microsoft is upgrading the OpenGL support to 1.2 (whoohoo! In 2030 they might get to 1.3 if we're lucky ).

That is a good question with WGF I was lately thinking the same, how can OpenGL co-exist with that unless someone writes a wrapper for OpenGL translated and then going through the WGF layer. It is definetly a smart move by M$. Well even so there will be a lot of troublesome faces in the game industry when they start to have fighting over 3D resources

I see no reason why OpenGL can't coexist with WGF.
