New cubemaps
Monday, February 26, 2007 | Permalink

I've added another couple of cubemaps. I've also included a new link on the on the texture page to the cubemap viewer application, which I've btw updated to be more compatible with older cards and added a zoom function to (using the mouse wheel).

Mhh ... runs extremely slow. Perhaps because the textures are 96 MB big?

Strange ... the 1024x1024 cubemaps run perfectly smooth, but when showing 2048x2048 cubemaps, i only get approx 0,1 fps.

Btw bug: The cursor is hidden when I should select the folder for the cubemaps.

Its a Ati Mobility Radeon 9600 with about 64 MB dedicated VRAM.

Ah, well that would be problematic for 96MB worth of textures. I guess I could use 6 regular textures instead of a cubemap. May dodge the software rendering, but would still run slow since it would be going over the bus all the time.

Nice. Now, how about spending some time on your OpenGL SDK area?
