Demo updates for Linux
Sunday, October 10, 2004 | Permalink

I've gone through a whole bunch of demos to ensure they all still compile in Linux. I have made some fixes to the frameworks to get it to run and finally added render to texture support in Linux. This means that in addition to all the demos that worked in Linux before the following demos now works fine in Linux as well:

New server and address
Friday, September 17, 2004 | Permalink

My site is back up again at a new server and a new address. The site was previously hosted on a server that I owned together with my old roommate back in the university days and it was connected to the university campus network. However, as many of you may have noticed it has become increasingly unstable. The server was never a top-end machine, mostly thrown together of left-over parts laying around. Due to the amount of downtime recently I felt it was time to move to real webhost and get a real domainname too. So from now on this site will be accessible at the address www.humus.ca and hopefully not experience any downtime.

New instancing demo
Wednesday, August 18, 2004 | Permalink

A new instancing demo is up. ATI users will need the new Catalyst 4.8 drivers to be able to use the instancing path.

The demo now includes the ability to change the particle spawn rate. Use the + and - keys for this.

Another update: Fixed a problem with resizing the window.

Home from Meltdown
Friday, July 30, 2004 | Permalink

I'm back home again after attending Meltdown for a few days. It's the first event of this kind I've attended, so it was pretty cool. Got to meet some real developers and see a couple of unreleased titles. Not that many people attending though, and during the speech sessions I attended the room wasn't even filled anywhere close to half. Overall pretty cool and a lot of fun though.
